Tea broking firm marks Silver Jubilee in Mombasa
The Mombasa Beach Hotel hosted tea broking firm Anjeli Ltd's 25th anniversary celebrations last weekend. The company, which was founded in 1989, marked the milestone with a lavish dinner. Started with a handful of members, the company now has more than 100 active ones. In a spirit of camaraderie, other tea broking firms also joined in the celebration. Art and poetry lovers were treated to an authentic performance by poet Sitawa Namwalie at The Priory on Argwings Kodhek Road in Nairobi on Saturday evening . The performance dubbed 'Silence is a Woman' explored the many ways in which silence imprisons a society, especially women. The cast included Aleya Kassam, Melvin Alusa, Willy Rama and Boaz Otieno.
