The Safaricom Foundation unveiled a new direction in its strategy at a breakfast meeting at the Intercontinental Hotel yesterday morning. The foundation was born in 2003 as the corporate social responsibility arm of Safaricom Ltd. Since then it has gone on to invest over Sh1.8 billion working in all 47 counties implementing over 1,000 projects directly impacting on three million people. The foundation led by chairman Joseph Ogutu and executed by Sanda Ojiambo unveiled a new five year strategy for the telecoms firm CSR arm.
