US ambassador Robert Codec hosted a reception for young African leaders at his Muthaiga residence in Nairobi on Thursday evening. The Young African Leaders Initiative (Yali) was launched by US President Barack Obama to support young African leaders as they work to spur growth and prosperity on the continent. The programme brings more than 500 young leaders to the United States each year for leadership training, academic coursework and mentoring.
